This
page provides the key parameters of the compressor assets in the system.

In
order to have the compressor system operate at optimum efficiency it is
essential that these parameters are filled in precisely.
Name
For each Compressor Asset a name needs to be provided. This name will be used throughout the user interface to refer to the Asset.
Interface
The Interface is either:
• Airmaster
• Core TAG (either of type Link+ or Drive+)
Airmaster Interface
Most compressors have an internal Controller. This
Controller manages the operation of the compressor. Based on measurements done
by sensors (such as Outlet Pressure) and set parameters (such as Target
Pressure) the Controller decides how to steer the compressor Air End.Such Controllers most often also have a Communication means to integrate with
other devices.
If the Communication supports the Airbus485
protocol, such Compressor Controller can be integrated in a Metacentre Core
system.
Metacentre TAG Interface
CMC NV provides Metacentre
TAG interfaces.
These can be used when the
Compressor does not support Airbus485 communication.
There are 2 variants:
• Link+: to be used with Load/Unload compressors
• Drive+: to be used with Variable Speed compressors
These Metacentre TAG interfaces are integrated in the Airbus485 network.
How the integration is done is not relevant in the context of this help page.
Regulation
We distinguish two types of Regulation:
• Load/Unload
• Variable Speed
Load/Unload Regulation
Such
compressors can operate in 2 modes: Loading or Unloading.
When Loading, they are
switched on at their maximum power and are compressing air, a fixed amount of
Air Flow is generated. When Unloading they are not producing compressed air.
Pressure regulation is achieved by measurement of the Delivery Pressure and comparing this with PH and PL.
Variable Regulation
With Variable regulation the motor speed of the compressor Air End can be set between a minimum and a maximum value.
As such, a controllable amount of air flow is generated, allowing to continuously adjust the air flow to the demand.

The Variable regulation operates within a certain region, for instance between 50% and 100%. It never operates between 0% and 100%.
Power Consumption Levels for Load/Unload assets
A Load/Unload compressor can be in one of the following states:
• Not available: power consumption is 0
• Stopped: power consumption is 0
• Offload: motor is running and compressor is consuming “Offload” power
• Loaded: compressor is consuming “Max” power
Power Consumption Levels for Variable assets
A Variable compressor can be:
• Not available: power consumption is 0
• Stopped: power consumption is 0
• Offload: motor is running and compressor is consuming “Offload” power
• Loaded: compressor is consuming between “Min” and “Max” power depending on the applied motor speed.
Capacity for Load/Unload assets

Capacity can also be obtained by installing and using an external flow sensor. If this sensor is installed, the approach explained here is overridden.
A Load/Unload compressor can be:
• Not available: air flow production is 0
• Stopped: air flow consumption is 0
• Offload: air flow consumption is 0
• Loaded: Maximum air flow consumption
Capacity for Variable assets
Capacity can also be obtained by installing and using an external flow sensor. If this sensor is installed, the approach explained here is overridden.
A Variable compressor can be:
• Not available: no air flow production
• Stopped: no air flow production
• Offload: no air flow production
• Loaded: compressor is producing between “Min” and “Max” Capacity depending on the applied motor speed.
Running Time
At installation, find or estimate the time the assets have already been running.
Fill in these numbers. the Metacentre Core will further keep track of the running times of the assets.
