CORE User Roles & Access Rights Overview

CORE User Roles & Access Rights Overview

When setting up and operating a Metacentre CORE system, different users need different levels of access.  For example, an installer or technician may require full administrative control during commissioning, while an operator or supervisor may only need access to basic monitoring functions.

To keep this simple, the system uses predefined user roles, each with specific permissions. These are outlined in the table below.

  1. Does not require an account or login
  2. No username or password is needed
  3. By default, when no one is signed in, CORE runs in View mode
  4. Choosing “View only” on the login screen allows continued use without credentials
Other roles (User, Admin, Super Admin)
  1. Require login with a USERNAME and PASSWORD
  2. Login details are not publicly shared for security reasons
  3. The purchaser of a Metacentre CORE module receives a Super Admin account (credentials provided physically with the product)
  4. The Super Admin is responsible for creating and managing additional user accounts
